Pilot in the Classroom

99s Flying Companion Seminar

Welcome! I’m Brig Williams, an educator in Southwest Washington State with over 30 years of experience. I’m also a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and a commercial pilot based out of historic Pearson Airfield, (KVUO), the oldest operating airfield in the nation. I am The Pilot in the Classroom.

Pilotintheclassroom.com serves two communities: Pilots and Educators.

For educators I’ve created a classroom management series called Be a Pilot in the Classroom, which helps teachers manage their classrooms, the way a pilot manages a flight. It’s fun, informative and effective. There is also a section called AVIATION is STEM which provides resources to promote aviation activities in the classroom.

For pilots and those who aspire to become pilots, there is a Pilot in the Classroom Series focusing on pilot safety, knowledge and skills. A pilot’s license is a license to learn, and a cockpit makes a horrible classroom. That’s why every pilot should be a pilot in the classroom. There is also a section called Flight Training which includes information on seminars, classes and flight lessons.

sUAS / Drones is a cross-over section for both pilots and educators. It focuses on drone safety, education and compliance.

Hangar Talk is all about fun aviation topics that anyone would find interesting.

I will make a disclaimer here. I don’t consider myself a writer, author or blogger. This site is part of my advocacy to promote aviation and to support the two communities I’m passionate about.

This is a new site and venture, check back often as we will be adding content regularly.
